Anyone else enjoying the FIFA World Cup? Really digging it. USA plays at 5 cst vs Portugal. Tough matchup for us. Still, exciting.

I'll be watching, even though that match starts at midnight Norwegian time and I'm supposed to work tomorrow.
Good luck, you'll need it to get to the next round.
Hope to see Mix Diskerud play tonight. He used to play for my local team and is half Norwegian, he was on our national youth team before he decided to go with USA.
Our own boys failed to qualify :(

I work from home & it's messing up my productivity. Live game in the morning & then replays during the day.I have a vested interest in the Croatia v Mexico game which should be a cracker.

Current Goggle headline. I'm likin' the guitar player chillaxin' under the tree! I luv soccer, especially during FIFA World Cup. Feel sorry for the players with the extreme heat and humidity, but hey, that's part of it...in Brazil!

It was an uphill battle in this bracket for sure, but USA is getting it done with only stoppage time remaining. It's killing me to turn off the game, but I'm at the arena, and my weekly hockey game begins in 10 minutes... hung in there as long as I could.

GO USA!!!

That last 30 seconds was a killer. But we still got good chance to move on. When we scored 2nd goal, I yelled so loud our baby cried and took me 10 minutes to calm her down. Yikes.

My wife is Italian, So since we married, I've become a fan of the game. I dont like or trust "FIFA" ( A crooked lot, IMO) ....but I've comer to love the sport, and the ritual of World Cup.
Enjoying this cup as well. Nice to see some suprises happening from the top down.

Ouch, then you missed that awful final half minute.
Your chances are still pretty good, I think.
Quite impressed with the USA team, not many superstars there, but they sure work hard and play well together.

Well, that was bad luck for the US team...I really thought they would win. Now it's Germany against USA on Thursday. I don't think it will be a very interesting game as both teams just need a draw (or do you say tie?) to come to the next round.

WW That sounds great! Make it happen............No hurry, but it surely is worth the trip. Much to see, do and experience here. Also, quite a few of us Aussie LTGers to look after you!

Now the first two games of the Round of 16 are set: Brazil-Chile (June 28) and Netherlands-Mexico (June 29), for sure two great games! Croatia and Australia didn't make it.

That should be a good one. At doctor due to terrible low back pain, need to make sure it isn't kidney issue. Means I will have to lay in couch later at home and watch more soccer. :).

I think the Chilean team should start packing its stuff already, unless Brazil continue with its bad performance and, the referees are more or less fair. On the other hand, hopefully The Netherlands will play in the next matches. Yesterday, they were just waiting the end of the game. They looked like some Italian teams: defense, just defense.

Go Uruguay! (Sorry John...)

All the best,
B.

Another boring game. Buffon, as always, a great goalkeeper. Suarez, selfish and involved in stupid things. None of the teams tried to play.

All the best,
B.

Italy vs Uruguay was a terrible game from both teams. But the referee was somehow supporting Uruguay I had the feeling. Hope they ban him for future games. The red card against Italy wasn't really one and Suarez biting Chiellini in the shoulder should have been a red card for Uruguay.. Since it was the third time that Suarez bites he should be banned for a long time now. Unbelievable...But it was an unfair game from both sides, and Italy should have been more active anyway...
