Was that Charlie Bean music? Thats where I got my Guild SF V & IV.

Charlie Bean...in Quincy Center!!! Holy schmolly....back in 1978 they special ordered a les paul knock off for me...$200. As I was literally leaving my driveway to go pick it up I got a phone call from WGBH in Boston...seems I bid on an electric guitar 9 mos previously during their television auction and it was never picked up by the high bidder...they said I could have it for $200. I drove directly into Boston to pick it up...a VINTAGE Rickenbacker. I never called Bean to cancel the order

I'd forgotten about this thread, even though I posted in one of the first few pages.

@ charliea: I bought the G312 (in your photo, post #32) from capnjuan shortly before he passed on.

Here's a pic of my '74 D-40NT which I bought new in Taunton, MA. It had just had new stainless steel frets installed when I took this pic 2 yrs ago.

K&K Pure Mini-equipped, it gets a LOT of play!

Picture was shot on my hotel room deck in Carmel, CA. The road down below is famous California Highway 1. Turn left to go to Big Sur, turn right to go to Pebble Beach.

Closeup of the fretboard with stainless steel frets:

Bill,

I've said it before, but I'll say it again: I love that pic! The sea on the back, the sun over your guitar, your guitar, that headstock... Niiice!

All the best,
B.

Late in my usual fashion. This is my first love - sold but not forgotten. My 1964 CE-100.

Late to this thread, but here's the one that started it all, bought "new" (or so I thought) in 1976. My 1973 D50

Really need to take a better picture with the whole headstock!

G'day all, new member here. Just bought a D125-12string on monday.
It's gorgeous. My Maton M325 sounds dull in comparison. (maybe it needs new strings?)
I'll try and stick up a photo of it when I get home.

Welcome to LTG, Poida.

I recall that Tommy Emmanuel referred to one of his previous Maton guitars as "Mouse", due to its quiet acoustic voice but strong amplified voice. A "mouse that roared", I guess.

Feel free to post photos of both your new Guild, & your Maton (I don't see many of them in the US).

Another WELCOME TO LTG, Poida!
Stick around and enjoy all things Guild and yes, we'd love to see your new guitar. We'll wait here. :tranquillity:

Cheers,
