bluesypicky said:10's are on the heavy side in the solid body player's world, that's the gauge I use on electrics BTW, but regardless, I was saying I don't like the feel of them on that particular guitar, maybe cuz of the rollers, dunno but I use 9's on it and find they stay in place much better (on said rollers).
But hey, if 10's work on yours, awesome! Let me know how it takes the 11's though, I'm curious....

GAD, we AxeFX users seem to be popping up all over the place. I'd buy shares in Fractal Audio Systems if I could!
I enjoy the huge flexibility of mine, although I had a couple of false starts getting the amp/cab combo right after trying and not liking FRFR.
I find myself getting carried away with the choices of amps and effects. There is almost too much you can do with this thing...
How do like yours?
Hey Q! Long time no talk... how you been brother?Qvart said:I tried .11's on one tuned down a step (D) and it didn't work so well. So I'm sticking with .10's in E and they're fine. Although, I sold my '72 S-90 with the same bridge as an S-100 to Tyler Ramsey from Band of Horses and he had his luthier (and mine) set it up for C-sharp with .12's, so there are possibilities. It's just beyond my setup capabilities. Enjoy!bluesypicky said:10's are on the heavy side in the solid body player's world, that's the gauge I use on electrics BTW, but regardless, I was saying I don't like the feel of them on that particular guitar, maybe cuz of the rollers, dunno but I use 9's on it and find they stay in place much better (on said rollers).

Thanks to the 9's... :wink:fearless said:Any difficulty you have in bending the E string is totally non-apparent in your videos
