This is only fitting.
It's come up in CT, too.Now they're working on making magic mushrooms legal in Michigan.
Many states have also passed legislation to not allow the sharing of state medical marijuana info w/ the Feds.Just be forewarned that it is still illegal Federally. So if you own firearms and you purchase, are found using, admit to using, or even register for a medical card you will become a prohibited person and loose your Right indefinitely in all States.
That alone probably disqualifies 10-20% of current gun owners before even considering pot!!“Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?
Either does pot in any recreationally legal state. All you need is ID for proof of age. Md goes full recreational July 1st.Luckily buying alcohol doesn’t require registration or entering your name into some database. At least not yet!
I have heard of people (on another forum) who have lost their firearms and license for registering for a medical card or buying from a State sanctioned shop. Very costly to hire an attorney to attempt to fight it. Not a concern for me as I don’t use it, but I know it does help others suffering from various illnesses.
Sorry for the thread veer.

Plus...according to ATF laws....alcoholics aren't supposed to own guns either, and no one has ever done squat enforcing that. I have yet to see gun advocacy groups warning people of losing their rights outside of AA meetings or warning anyone that has more than 4-5 drinks during the course of a week. Hell, 1/2 the cops I know would have to turn in their firearm!
"To purchase a firearm, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) requires the buyer to fill out federal Form 4473. One of the questions asks:
