I'm still peeking in regularly. You folks are part of my day here. :gorilla:
Haven't been feeling so well, ( new Meds adjustments....Grrrrr.) so communicating very little. Spending time re-potting plants, sowing seedlings, and generally sorting out my garden and chicken yards before a long cold winter sets in.

Sending good thoughts and positive vibes your way, John!

You have email, by the way... :friendly_wink:

A hug,
B.

Yeah? Yeah? Well I have a new, old motorcycle. So take that!!!!! Oh my God!!! Even that's an affront to the establishment. It was made during those dreaded AMF years so maybe I got a new, old bowling ball instead. Those are fighting words partner!!!!!

Peace?

Actually, I just heard they wore funny pants.

[ sorry, that was meant to quote Pascal about rude Frenchmen.... I realize it's probably even funnier (if at all) without any quoted context though! ]

I was referring to the over-reaction as what soured things. So I think maybe we agree. If you don't agree with me, you can shave your opinion into splinters and burn it and bury it.

:D

all I meant was I didn't think anything turned sour around here. The one thread was awkward mainly because of one person, but it seemed clear to me how ridiculous that persons posts were, it was difficult for me to take the whole thing seriously. As for burning my virtual opinion, that's probably not necassary and I'm too busy burning other things anyway. Ride smooth compadre.

Talking about upsetting the establishment...... We've championed the exercise!

And to further demonstrate my rebellion mode, I now play Gibson guitars in front of naked women:

Oh là là. C'est terrible...

Darn Givson guitars! Somehow, long time ago, something made me presage that, sooner or later, this was going to happen. Too much licentiousness in some LTGers life...

Ahhhh.... I'm incorrigible. And I'm back baby! :excitement:

Good to hear it, BP!

All the best,
B.

Nice old Dove! I love those dreads. I wish they were not so dang expensive. I am still secretly trying to get my wife a J45. We had one once, and we traded it in on something else, old sob guitar story, of which I have been thru many. But that is the one dread she would like back. One birthday I will surprise her with one.

How many times do the moderators have to tell people that you should never link directly to an offensive picture so that it displays in an LTG post? You are supposed to just post the URL with a warning so that anyone who follows the link does so at their own risk.

For example, the referenced picture should have been flagged with warnings about: non-Guild guitars being played and appreciated; a book of Heresy prominently displayed instead of "the Bible according to Hans" and a big fat book that has something to do with a culture and/or language besides the USA and English. It is a judgement call whether the truss rod cover rates a warning or not.

My official heretic status has been duly noted, I understand my fate now awaiting ruling by LTG inquisition, and fully accept the risk of being subjected to expurgation by means of fire at the stake and on public display (just like these damn foreign made guitars!)...

I will never learn discipline.:cocksure:

You missed WARNING "Gibson Electrics" end WARNING.

And was there really something about the poster on the wall that needed to be addressed? I must have missed something. Maybe it's a bass player thing with posteriors?

Let me be very clear about this "chef d'oeuvre".
This is an original Aslan drawing from 1958 and was designed to be displayed in the lobby of one of the most prominent Parisian cabarets, the "Folies Bergere".

This is "art" sir, and I will not tolerate the vulgar "innuendos" (Hi Al!) that may be put forth with its respect.

(Sandy gets a pass for disfiguring one of the copies, as he got me my DV72)
