FYI, this wasn't meant to be an anti-fish/fishing post. I just wanted to show some color from the annual fishing frenzy down on the creek. It's often chaotic and there's very little respect shown for the fish. :x

I eat a lot of fish and I love just about anything that swims into my kitchen; I've just never taken a bludgeon to one. Never saw the need to insult/assault the fish.

There....now let's go fishing, :wink:

Well I was beginning to wonder how in the world a Cajun boy from South Lousiana didn't eat fish :wink: ? Best food in this entire world is in South Louisiana.

I'm just grateful not to be lower down on the food chain.

Yeah, at least we only have top predators above us.
And fleas, ticks, lice, leeches, mosquitoes, bed bugs, and probl'y a few others too exotic to be worth mentioning.
But hey I'm not trying to scare anybody.

I have to agree that the very best pickle filets I have ever had were in Monroe Louisiana at the Cypress Inn.

Though we call them pickerel here and they're a bit bigger. :shock:
