I am "reliced" myself but I earned it! Guitars should too!

Somebody in another thread said that FMIC was not in the Music Business, but in The Time Machine Business. Making a relic fits right in with the Time Machine business model. It kind of freaked me out the first time I saw one because there were three guitars with identical wear patterns all hanging on the wall.

I'm not a fan, but relicing is as much about the feel of a worn instrument as the looks. If you get a chance, grab one and play it for a bit. You might be surprised at how good it feels.

That said, I like my guitars to look minty fresh. I take care of my gear.

I suppose you can beat the crap out of a relic'd guitar and not realize it or even care. I, for one, want the marks, if any, to be from me and to mean something. That said, there are no dings on any of my guitars simply because I choose to take care of them. I'm sure dings will happen over time, but I surely don't intend to pay for my dings. Also not elitist, but very opinionated at times, and probably a little OCD at times as well :numbness:
