Yes, renamed, but a few changes were made also. The top on mine is so clean, I thought it might be engleman. Both Geo Gruhn and Hans tell me it's sitka though.No, I have not. But that's the same Gruhn-design guitar isn't it? The model was D-66 until a point and then renamed D-60, I think.
