Why - why - why on earth the cut the pickguard that way ?

Other than that - we might need to find out some other less insignificant reasons . . .

I knew a guitar player - his last name was Strömberg - unfortunately he jumped off a roof some years ago.

BUT - he had Marshall stack - and he revamped the head by replacing the plastic logo wit another plastic logo.

Strömberg is large electric/electronics company which amon other tings used to supply kitchen stoves.

And he also put some larger knobs on every other pot to make it look more like kitchen stove.

British Blues giant John Mayall was always big on modding his guitars by reshaping and taking weight out of the body. Some of his Strats he would cut away a lot of the wood.

Ernie Ball Earthwood nylons, among others, have ball ends, Rocky.
Sure, I've seen that they exist, but never on a pin bridge guitar. They're usually stuck on a regular nylon string for people who don't want to bother to learn how to tie them properly.
