Couple of (humble) cutaway opinions:

My F47 Maple is very bright and close to the JF65 in volume.
Access is good up to the 19th fret or so.

Bargain deal: The F4 with its 3-inch depth is amazingly comfortable to play for hours and hours.
Amplifies very nicely, but the (lesser) acoustic volume is reflected in the more shallow body. Great dollar value.

Just my .02 - Good luck in your search!

Saw her...kinda pricey, though. :?
It's an auction, keep watching. I agree about price though, 'cause it's almost exactly like mine except I think it's wee bit earlier than 2000. My s/n's almost 300 units higher as a late '01. Also I think the Fishman unit is slighthly different. I'm not at home but I don't think mine had the same nkobs for volume and notch filter. I think the phase control was a late change though, and it's handy for dealing with feedback.
This is the guitar my girlffriend loves to hear "Chim Chim Cheree" on. Imagine that waltztime being played with a delicate clawhammer style and then taking a sudden break for 6/8 swing rhythm with all the crispness of tone appropriate for a song like that. Same trick works for "My Favorite Things". A trick I got inspired to try from listening to Coltrane's version.
Or try "Slide" by the GooGoo Dolls if your tastes run in that direction. It also handles Jimmy Page style acoustic bits, like "Gallows Pole" . It's versatile baby. I just can't strum it as hard as the other two, but it IS strung with extra lights after all. I just have to adjust technique a little.
They're pretty uncommon so I'd consider whether or not to let it pass very carefully. :)

Goo goo dolls? Interesting, I had a friend o'mine who was a great fan of that band, that is almost completely unknown here, anyway, your answer made me think that it would interesting to ask people what they play, and I opened a poll in the member's music section about that...

Well I spent about 15 minutes composing an answer over there only to get the notorious "logged out" when I went to submit it!
Let's just say I got a stack of charts and books about 3 feet tall so what I have currently memorized tends to evolve over time.
I love "arranging" the stuff that was done as hard rock to a solo acoustic axe. I use a lot of Richie Havens tricks to do it, except I ONLY use standard tuning.
I do try to keep tabs on current music developments even though my primary love is the '60s. I think most of the membership is also in a similar demographic and that's why your perception about "'60's folk music" is probably accurate.
I also have Talking Heads and Pearl Jam books for instance, but I can't remember coming across anybody from the post-century mark that I've liked enough to want to learn the music. I'm 54 now so it's gettin' harder and harder to impress me.
These days at any given moment the list of my own stuff I have memorized is now longer than the list of other people's. That only happened in about the last 5 years though.
But I AM curious, how old are you and where do you live? "Unknown here" implies a country other than USA.... I know there actually are some...
NICE collection of guitars too...I take it you play in groups...I can respect that 'cause I KNOW how much actual work THAT takes from watchin' a couple of my buddies do it! PRACTICES! That's where it's either gonna work or not baby! The general public doesn't have a clue!
Rzeznick from the GooGoo Dolls is a Guild owner by the way, and many of their recorded songs use 'em, like "Slide".
