Sweet guitar! Good score!! If it sounds as good as it looks, you got a good one!
There are still a couple of sunburst F50s for sale out there and i’m sure more will pop up!
I should get the one I got off of Reverb ( I think you said you were looking at it too) on Thursday !

Yeah I was checking it out just couldn’t tell if was a cracked head stock or not but I could not pull off the fundage , at the same time I’m looking for NH model if possible .
I really should not have bought the F30 but my brain is damaged when I looked closer at the grain pattern and the sliking on the top , well I just caved . I’m a sucker for unique though this Guitar is not overly that but close enough . The real test is seeing it up close and personal .
I’ll know Wednesday.

LOL! I think we've all been there!

And no, I haven't done any recording lately, and yes, I've been looking forward to getting back into that.... :tiger:

Belated congrats!
A custom order F30R with arched back and 24-3/4 inch scale was my pipe dream guitar for a while.
Might be again if they ever start doing custom orders.

Anybody who can grok William Burroughs can grok you, my man:

"The 'Other Half' is the word. The 'Other Half' is an organism. Word is an organism. The presence of the 'Other Half' is a separate organism attached to your nervous system on an air line of words can now be demonstrated experimentally. One of the most common 'hallucinations' of subject during sense withdrawal is the feeling of another body sprawled through the subject's body at an angle...yes quite an angle it is the 'Other Half' worked quite some years on a symbiotic basis. From symbiosis to parasitism is a short step. The word is now a virus. "
-the Ticket That Exploded (1962)

"Cut word lines — Cut music lines — Smash the control images — Smash the control machine — Burn the books — Kill the priests — Kill! Kill! Kill!"
-the Soft Machine (1961)

BTW he gave Steely Dan their name too, adopted from an implement of desire described in Naked Lunch ....in which he also experimented with the technique of cutting up pages of text, throwing 'em up in the air, and publishing the randomly re-arranged pieces.....

After that, translating Rayk is just another day at the office.

i totally know what you are saying by your writing. the best part is your playing is totally perpendicular to your writing. playing, very relaxing and soothing, writing, chaos.

awesome! And I am not laughing. I am being totally sincere. I know it is hard to tell on the web.

I may be the only member of the forum to have met Ray in the flesh. He drove with his son all the way to Charlottesville to play a half-dozen or so of my Guilds and educate himself on the differences between models.

Perfectly normal dude. Knows a lot about guitars, and has some nice chops.

Ok so I have this new little new F30 . I'm making sure TX ain't getting one overon this time me LOL

So yup I found some things , One is this funky scratch that feels like a cut and its etched into the NCL its on the headstock veneer around the top edge it looks like a white line or scratch .
Two is the fretboard mating surface between the neck and top the gap is wide enough to slip a piece a paper in. Three is the weird oder of some kind of glue , not one thats familiar and I sniffed alot of glue err ... scratch that last part LOL

I sent off photos to the seller and polity mention that these were acknowledged offered up 3 possibility , My luthier fix it . they fix it (proper like ) or return. so I just sent that email out so we'll see what happens.

heres' some pics
