The Everly Brothers with "Bye Bye Love" and "Wake Up Little Susie".
I started listening to post #19 by Minnesota Flats and it's interesting to hear the opinions of both English and American rockers of the 1960s talking about the first time they heard Bye Bye Love and how it wasn't only the voices that knocked them out, but the rhythm guitar style the brothers used in songs like Bye Bye Love and Wake Up Little Susie (Both songs written by Felice and Boudleaux Bryant).
