Hi guy's,
I'm back on deck now !! Thouroughly enjoying my old F30, it's a great guitar, plenty of vintage vibes and a wonderful sound. I really cant believe how great this thing sounds !! Anyway I'm a bit stuck finding out when and where it was made. My serial no is A1 2771, label says made in Hoboken. From what I've been able to find out so far:
2271 was the last serial number from 1969, according to the Guild site.
There were allegedly 150 F30's made in 1970.
2749 Has a Hoboken label but was apparently made at Westerly using up the last of the labels, and is from 1970.
2887 Has a no place name label, was made at Westerly 1970.
From this information it would appear that mine is from 1970, made at Westerly using up the last of the Hoboken labels, but this doesnt tie up with the 150 made in 1970 bit of information !!
Anyone have any more information to add to the confusion ? I'm assuming the Guitars are numbered sequentially ?
Cheers, Ian
