Ok here is the latest update... please let me know if i have anything incorrect with your listing......also if you haven't sent me serial numbers send and I will add. Also let me know if the serial number is confirmed for your year. I am also still looking for the unexpectedly elusive '98 Bluesbird to add to the list!
Rock on!

Hans,
Great catch! Thanks for filling in the gaps! I will make the correction and post an update soon.

We are now starting to fill out the sheet, but I know we have more folks out there with Bluesbirds. Let's keep the pics coming and see some of these beautiful guitars!

Thanks again Hans!
Best,
Dennis

And, my other Bluesbird; actually my first. 1998 CL001932.

I bought this on Ebay ca.2007. Purchased from a Pom, returning to Blighty from the USA. Kindest thing I can say is thank goodness the split-arse wasn't moving to Newsieland !

HB-1's are from my wife's nephew's '76 Starfire IV. He doesn't care for humbuckers and retro-fitted BKP Mississippi Queens to the Starfire.

Coastie,
Great sunburst man..... I can't believe you were holding out on us!
What do you think about the HB1's? I mean you obviously liked them enough to switch them out, but do tell more!
I see how the flame shows really nice in the right lighting. Also very cool TRC!!
I will add another one to the list!!!

I have to add coasties '98 sunburst and change the date from '99 to '98 on blue335's cherry sunburst......

Keep those pictures coming.....

Thanks for posting coastie..... that is a fine specimen!!

Thanks SB.

Your timing was impeccable ....... I've just come inside having finished a new TRC ( Mammoth Ivory, as is the TRC on BB #1 ) for the Blues 90.

I'll post photo's of that next weekend; dusk is falling right now.

Cheers mate, Gary.

I changed my signature to show the Cherry Sunburst Bluesbird is from 1998.
Thanks a lot Hans!

Alright, so I am the one with the 'Amber AAA' Bluesbird. I am quite the explorer and took out the pickups for the hell of it and noticed some writing in the neck pickup cavity. It says "C/S". Does anyone have any idea what that would be for? I also noticed that the finish a is much darker amber where the rings covered which possibly indicated my guitar has faded significantly.

Hobbesickles... that might be an installers initials, Hans or maybe Ralf will join in here and perhaps be able to shed some light.... i couldn't say. There are instances where certain neck installers etc have put their initials in the guitars, sometimes under the truss rod cover I think. Be patient, someone will chime in.

Coastie..... that is one rockin in credible Blues90 you have there! Very cool bird man..... i bet she sounds as good as she looks.... i am trying to resist the GAS right now and we all know how hard that is! I will get it listed asap.... BTW...love the TRC!

2nevets..... I love that bird, but don't know how to list.....do you have a year? Maybe '70 ish M75 Bluesbird? She is in phenomenal condition from the pics and bet she sounds awesome.....
drop some details and description/color when you can..... just incredible.....

Great birds all around! I apologize for not posting the latest update..... but we are busy trying to get the heck out of Afghanistan..... I will try to post at least one more update and then I could be off line for about a month. I will post as I am able.

Rock on!

Here's my 2000 Bluesbird, # CL002553. This guitar once belonged to a Westerly employee, who installed the Guildsby. I initially removed the Guildsby, only to recently re-install it with a Towner downbar in place of the hokey homemade tailpiece that was there...

I spoke with the guy I bought this Bluesbird from yesterday. He was friends with the former Westerly employee who initially purchased the guitar. Back in the day, each Westerly employee was able to buy one guitar per year at a substantially reduced cost. The employee could also work on the guitar during lunch break and on their own time. This particular guitar sold for $400 and the Guildsby came from the "old parts bin" at the factory . This guitar was chosen because the Dude liked the unique top.

RussB,
It is great you have that connection with the former owners. And seriously....what is not to like about that top!
She is one of my absolute favorites.....
when people ask me what the heck is a Bluesbird.....of course i show them mine, but I also say.... "but you have to see this one.... it is tricked out and gorgeous!"
Great Bird! You should never get tired of that! (but if you do... call me first...lol!)

Coastie,
Looking at SN CL001932, I am thinking that your bird is from '99. I could be wrong and can only bracket your guitar based upon other serial numbers.
My Cherry Sunburst is confirmed as from year '00 and is SN CL002027 and we have confirmed SN's from '99 in the 1800 range....
In any case let me know.

Dennis

Actually, that would make it a Bluesbird from the year 2000.

Hans,
Once again I find myself in your debt. Thanks much for keeping me on track! It is always appreciated and keeps the integrity of the list.
I am surprised though how many people have been told there guitar was from one year only to find out it is either older or newer than what they thought.
Thanks gain Hans..... BTW.... let us know when you have an update on the new book! Looking forward to it.
Best,
Dennis

I'm late posting, but here's my Blues 90:

It's surprisingly hefty for a chambered body. I love the neck, but the pickups need to be swapped out. I need to recover from an acoustic spending spree before I take care of that, though.
