Great video! If you are going to be a "hoarder", this is the stuff to collect!

I usually think of a "hoarder" as someone who has piles and piles of stuff scattered throughout the house, etc., but this guy has his stuff together, totally organized and displayed, etc.
Impressive in many ways and somewhat overwhelming.

I wonder what else he does and how much his insurance premiums run. :?:

Just pondering,
Joe

Things that make you go HMMMMMM. Obsessive, compulsive, manic, depressive, eclectic, eccentric. No money left for therapy. Sounds like there's a song in there somewhere.

And I think Todd Snider would be the guy to write that song. He could string all those words together quite nicely.

*This isn't his best version of this particular song but you can see the potential.

I have now and I have to agree with Walrus, he's a hoarder! IMHO a collector wouldn't have fifty Fender Coronados!

A collection, (in my definition) should be like what is seen in a Museum, where they strive to obtain one example of every "species".

Anybody could just buy every D-55 they've ever come across. It's much more difficult to have one of every model dreadnaught Guild has ever made!

To each his own!

If and I do mean "if", he is married, I would bet that his wife can't wait for him to kick the bucket.
Talk about a yard sale!

The 50 Coronados is what struck me when I saw the video. That's going to be one helluva estate sale when he leaves his earthly possessions behind.

I have said before "You can have enough guitars but you can't ever have too many guitars", but I may have to change my stance on that! I bet he never changes the strings on his instruments after he's bought them.

Anyway, that's a good video to show people who think I have too many guitars - might give them some understanding & perspective of he admirable restraint I actually exhibit.

I hope the gent above never starts collecting Guilds - I'd hate for 50 Starfires or X-175s to be hanging up on some wall, hidden away from the guitar playing community.

Very true. That would have been a painful sight. What a loss.
When I was a kid, I collected antique bottles. I'd dig them up from under houses ( New Orleans) and out of old priveys. They cleaned up beautifully. And I was quickly assembling a big 'collection'
One day, I met a man who was a collector also, and he said he'd buy some of my bottles and hire me to clean his finds as well. I accepted the job, and went to his house to earn some pocket money and trade bottles.
What I saw astounded me. This man had a house FULL of bottles. I mean really full. ( Even the yard was packed!) every room had shelves packed and in order, no floor space, and only a trail from a tiny kitchen to the toilet, to a single bed....Nothing else in the house but the barest essentials, and his beloved bottles!
That was a real eye opener for me. After that, even I weeded down my collection.
