Fortunately, medical science has gotten really good at this procedure, which is actually pretty amazing when you think about it. Best wishes, Richard!
Absolutely, as it was scheduled for early December and rescheduled for today. Richard had some health issues in early December.

Just texted with Richard and surgery finished. And I Quote, "didn't die on the table so that's a good thing."
I had double hip replacement about 7 years ago. Richard is about to go through the worst part; the first week. Heās going to feel like he was hit by a train. after that, recovery Can begin.

Best wishes Richard! I hope that you are up and at-em soon. I have a few friends that have gone through exactly what you are and they walk with no pain and it didn't take long.

We should all meditate on surrounding Rich with the scent of Brazilian rosewood and fresh NCL until he can get back home to his guitar room.

He was just bragging about how good the hospital food was - he used the word "superb." I reminded him he was still under the influence of drugs!!

You've totally got this, Richard. I've had both hips replaced. Compared to the knees (both of those too) it's a piece of cake. You'll be surprised how quickly things get better. Take the pain meds, get up and about with your walker and boom!! Check in when you get a chance!!

My wife's best friend's husband just just got a new hip this week too. The first day sounds like it was painful. On the fun side, his wife's phone auto corrected his name to Nibs during a text chat the two girls had. So, that's what we will call him from now on.
