My fellow geezers,
Short story long. I frequently travel back and forth between CA and GA visiting the vibrantly 94 year old Mama ' Strang in Peachtree City. Quite a few years ago I took My F-112 there and left it so I would have a nice guitar to play there without having to travel with a guitar. On this last visit (just returned home) I was amazed at how long my arthritic hands could play in a single session and the total amount of playing time I could get into a day. So I've been continuing this little red hot playing streak but there's no denying it, the smaller F-112 is way more comfortable and for both hands. So...I spotted a 1970 F-112 on ebay and snagged it. The auction ended yesterday. This means I will be a bi-coastal F-112 player. However, this does not mean I will buy Coastie an F-112. I still love to play the jumbos but having a more comfortable workout guitar will be a good thing. It has been shipped via UPS and will arrive in a few days. I've always had good luck with shipping guitars, but I've also read a lot of horror stories, so...
How do I protect my interests receiving a guitar?
Should I document the opening with any kind of photography?
Should I try to make the driver wait while I open the box and case?
What else have I forgotten?
I supposedly have ebay, paypal and credit card protection and the seller has a 3 day return policy, FWIW.
Thanks for any help,
' Strang
