To me the underlying history is fascinating, that you can hold in your hand and play.
Your Cortez double neck is phenomenal, GA! It's not hard to believe it's better than the Milwaukee original in some ways - Page himself never spoke highly of the EDS1275
Is it set necks as I am kind of guessing from the image?
Yep, set necks.
Cortez the Killer I called it.
And so it had been played or even commissioned by a possibly famous I think maybe African American player, who had it mounted on a stand to play it without having to hold it, Bravo Maestro!
His name engraved in the PG, I blacked it out with a Sharpie.
Beautiful body work.
I Groverized it.
And so what are the improvements over the ES1275?
The 12 string headstock is about half as long.
Both necks have 22 frets.
The 12 string side has an ABR-1 bridge and Stop Tailpiece.
It has wickedly smart wiring, and an ability to turn either neck off, with "Ghost noting" in full and ethereal effect.
Both necks have their own Rhythm/Treble switch.
Very clever wiring indeed.
And a side jack.
