Ibanez Model 2846 that's mash-up of Martin D-35 body and fingerboard with Guild headstock, chesterfield and pickguard.

Dig the Ibby copies of Guilds. This model, as you said, is a combination of a Martin D-35 style 3 piece back with a D-50ish body.

The Aria uses the same Gotoh tuners that Guild used on some models in the 1970s.
Ain't that cool? I have those on my (ex Norrissey) 1975 SF-II, but I did not know they were Gotoh - thanks GG!

I’ve always liked those tuners & currently have them on my ‘76 G-37. Rebuilt them with washers from recent Grovers, which are metric & fit perfectly onto the button shafts.

The funny part of the story is that - not knowing these were Gotoh - I was in further awe of the Japaneses' ability to copy even the slightest details...

Big fan of lawsuit Era guitars. Own two Takamine Acoustics both with solid tops. One is a copy of a Gallahger and the other is a D28/D35 clone. Also have two Aria Pro II electrics. One set neck les paul copy and a Herb Ellis Signature es175 full hollow. Played the Gallagher copy as my main stage guitar for years before I bought my first Guild. 👍
Yes, that Takamine Gallagher-copy is the F-362s I referenced above which was so impressive back in the day. There happens to be one available at GC as we speak, but oh well, I’m no longer buying square-shouldered dreads. Too bad Takamine didn’t do a few more small-bodied clones with solid tops - like an F-30!

I had a Takamine preamp and ust installed in my f362s as well as modern tak tuners. Gave $229 for it 20 years ago out of some one's closet that never played it. Bone nut and saddle installed and it has gone toe to toe with any guitar I have put it up against. Played 5-7 shows a week at 2-3 hours a pop for years plus recording duties and it never let me down.

Actually that's how I got turned on to Guild. Was looking for a Tak lawsuit Guild Jumbo and with the prices I decided to give the real thing a try. The rest is a long descent into the madness of Guild Acquisition Syndrome as they say, 😆.

Please let me know if I'm being repetitive - lookalikes have always been a huge kink of mine. Even when they feature "creative touches" not present on the originals.
Uh...hardly "blemish free..." Note the checking/raising of the finish on the neck binding and elsewhere, aside from the dings and gouges
