I still kick myself for walking out of a GC without a Sima 12 I played for almost an hour!!!

Good luck with that!

I haven't posted before on your search...

You have to "have" the guitar the sounds right to you. If I understood correctly, and tha'ts perhaps not possible, you were
not able to play the three Guilds shown. If you like the Martin after playing her, and she was below budget, ya did good and
congratulations! The Guild for you will come along eventually, just learn what you can learn from the acoustics that you have,
so you know what exactly you are looking for sound-wise when she presents herself to you...

The biggest issue was after shipping they were too much to buy unseen. And I’ve been a Martin fan for years same with taks. Haven’t played too many guilds lol 2 to be honest.

Probably be best to hold off and find out what exactly I want before buying an expensive acoustic

Invariably, most if not all earlier than 75 guitars are well on their way to needing neck resets or have already had them. Virtually all the 70s Martins I see have had neck resets and are going for more than 3K. The others are price by people not getting that their guitar with no bridge showing is worth much less. I think Guilds are reasonable because people don't want to deal with the expense. One plus for later 70s Guilds is that they are pretty robust. I'll take light builds and the maintenance costs.
