My best Guild moments involve the interaction with the people who make this forum so great.

* Convincing caseygree that my battle-scarred '77 S-100 would make a perfect refinish candidate in his desire to get a white S-100. After some initial hestitation, he was blown away by the sound of the guitar, and after some fabulous work by his luthier, the look of his now Classic White S-100.

* Selling my '81 S-250 to MisterTV, who it turned out lived in the Twin Cities, which allowed me the chance to meet him and to deliver the guitar in person.

* Taking lessons learned from Treem's Book of Enabling to heart by picking up a '54 Aristocrat for el tuce and a '78 D-50 for eastcoastbuzz and shipping to them, after getting the chance to play both gems for a time. It was my honor to make it happen for you guys.

* Shipping my '77 M-80 down to Hagmeat in Sydney. My first international shipping attempt was a success.

* Acquiring my '64 Polara S-100, with an invaluable assist from Treem, and gaining the bonus of a new member in Rhinestone Cowboy, who sold me this gem, in the process.

* Asking bluespicky to make a second version of "Going Down" on his '73 S-100 and then later sending him my Chiquita travel guitar, on which he made the "Chiquita Travel Guitar Shuffle" video and wound up selling the guitar to his brother, Philippe.

and while this might not be a Guild-specific moment, it is my favorite LTG moment, and I think the biggest reason why this forum is so special...

* The immediate posts of concern and information about the well-being of our members affected by the earthquakes in New Zealand (Coastie, Ian, etc.) and the snowstorms that affected our many members in the Northeast. Those trying and tragic events, and others that I likely am forgetting, really highlighted for me how this forum brings together people from all over the world who would otherwise likely never meet and through the process of interacting here, makes us not only become friends but makes us truly care about other. That's something I wouldn't trade for anything, even for the 1959 Aristocrat with hardshell case at Fretted Americana demoed on Youtube by Phil X that serves as my avatar.

... well, okay, maybe I would trade that for the '59 Aristocrat. I mean, I like really like all of you and stuff, but c'mon, a '59 Aristocrat, played by Phil X!

Of course you know I'm just kidding about that last part. It's the people here that have provided me with my best moments.
