Posted on a FB Guild group. How about Brian Wilson with his friends and family on a ‘65 Starfire VI.

Pretty sure we determined before it's actually brother Carl (think Ralf actually figured it out).
For one thing, Brian was avoiding touring at the time, and normally he was the bass player.
And if you note this photo from '66, you can see that although Carl does look a lot like Brian, he resembles Beau Bridges a lot more than Brian
does, as does the guy playing the SFIV...

(That's Brian on the nod, and note the hairstyle difference)

Another shot from the tour:

Note the bass player isn't Brian....nor is the guy with the Starfire.... ;)

You know, I knew it was Carl, was thinking Carl, was picturing him in his various incarnations, and yet transposed his name with a Brian. Didn't even realize it until your post.

How about some Brian Jones & Keith Richards in the Olympic Studios in London recording their fifth British studio album „Between the Buttons“ in November 1966.
Had never seen that picture of Keith with the Guild 12 string F-312 (?).

Yes it certainly looks like a F 312. However the white tuners don't appear stock. Hans?

In '66, F312's and F212's were the only 12's they made, however, I see lots of '65 F212's with white buttons on Google image search such as:

and

F-212's were 'hog bodies and came first, IIRC.

I have shown videos of Buffalo Tom before & Bill Janovitz plays a a JF30 in heaps of the live acoustic stuff - performances from early 90s to recently. So finally a pic:

I have recently been purchasing some old George Benson vinyl recordings from the CTI days, 60's into the 70's.

I have been familiar with his 1969 "The Other Side of Abbey Road" album for years. That's the one with him carrying an X-175 on the cover. But today I got a hold of his 1974 "Bad Benson" album that shows him with a sweet black Starfire XII on both the front cover and rear cover. With just a quick listen he may be using it on a rhythm track or two. (please excuse the poor photos)

In a Vintage Guitar magazine interview from 2010 he says he used a Guild X-500 for many of the CTI recordings. He also had an Artist Award that he used.

I don't know if anyone's already did this one. Two great artists and their Guilds - great play on words!
Ever since The Song Title Thread (Parts I & II) we don't worry in the least about "don't know if anyone's already did this one" because that's just repetition piled upon repetition piled upon ancient repetition with no checks or balances whatsoever. So don't worry about that at all. Plus, I've never seen it and I think it's pretty cool!! (y)
