Nesmith was always my favourite Monkee as a kid (funny how you always had a favourite something - Virgil/No.2 was my favourite Thunderbird).

I have Headquarters on vinyl & although it hasn't got the huge hits of the fist couple of albums it's still a very solid effort. Nesmith penned/sang a few cuts I really like - "You Told Me" & "You Just may be The One. Cool album which is a little under the radar.

He also had a hit here in Australia in 1977 with the song "Rio" - not sure how it fared stateside: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tpkxKZS4fc

Also heard that his mum invented Liquid Paper correction fluid.

Actually I always wanted to sing like Mickey. BUT one of my favorite tunes was Nez's "Mary Mary" :D 8)
And BTW, Peter had a Guild F-body of some type too prabably an F30. Saw a pic of him with it many years ago. He was also pictured with a Guild bass recently, in this thread:
