I filled in & played with a band I used to play in today. Nice outdoor gig at a biker club pig roast. Lovely day.
Cover band so I switched off basses, using a Steinberger for Godsmack & such while using my Dark Starred JS-II for older material.
Afterwards, the guitarist from the next band came over to tell me how great my bass sounded. I asked "You mean the little black one?", which was sounding real nasty today. "No" he answered "I meant the Guild. That bass sounds awesome."
Not the first time, nor, I hope the last time.
These are great sounding instruments.
