Awesome looker at a nice price, but it seems to come with a lot of question marks. I bought a 66 Starfire V from them last month and they were very good and professional during the sale. I had questions about their condition appraisal (some binding separation). They agreed with me and were appropriately apologetic, and then we worked out a price and repair deal that I was happy with. The guitar is beautiful -- like it sat under someone's bed for forty-four years.
Yep, that's it. I wanted to pull the trigger on that one real bad. I was only concerned because they said that it needed a re-fret to straighten the neck. They said it was a refinned sunburst, but the model # (X375) is the natural one. I think it may not have been a refin, I don't think you could remove a burst finish that cleanly. I missed calling the shop on Tuesday about it, and when I called Wed. it was sold.
