Pickguard is from 66 or 67 and hence I'd say the pickups were not even available yet when that guitar was born.

Yeah, I saw that; that’s what made me think maybe it went back to the factory and the new PU’s installed there.
Gibson did that kind of stuff all the time, thought maybe Guild did, too.
hard to tell from the picture, but looks like a pretty good job.
