I was going to post that the X375 I had in the 1980's had a very flamey back, & here's Hans with the same idea! Mine looked almost identical to the one at archtop.com NEONMOONY linked to, except for the rhinestones someone had glued around the edge of the headstock! Yeah! It's probably the 'superstructure' of an X-375. So far I've seen quite a few of those.

I thought it was probably the camera angle versus the positioning of the guit.I thought the first pic looked a little distorted, nothing wrong with the guitar, just the pic. I'd love to play it.
