My '56 Aristocrat came with two replaced different style later Centralab volume pots.

Since I'd like to restore it to the original state I am looking for a pair of 500kohms volume pots as follows:
- made by Centralab (code 134)
- solid shaft (no split shaft)
- BA211-1880 type (I guess that's the typenumber)
- currently the original tone pots are dated 609 (week 09 in 1956), so the volume pots should be either from second half 1955 of early 1956 to fit the age of the guitar.

See pictures of the 500kohms tone pots, the volume pots should look same.

I know that is an almost impossible search, but many of you have parts drawers, so I am at least asking if one might have such pots by any chance, which he is willing to sell to me.
Obviously they need to be in good working state, so I can use them.

Thanks,
Ralf

I know that is an almost impossible search but I give it a little bump again.
Thanks!

Hey, Ralf,

Purely ignorance on my part, but is there any real value (collector or otherwise) in sticking with 55+ year old pots? Wouldn't new be better? And, if so, is anything on the Korean models of use here?

In any case, good luck in the hunt.

@chazmo: Honestly I don't know. I think if you have the original pots in good working condition with the guitar it is better than to have replaced pots. ("collector value"). Now if the original pots are so old, that they don't work anymore a new replacement pot makes total sense. My guitar has two replaced pots but with other form factor. They are also vintage, so they were replaced maybe 25-30 years ago. I might just leave it as it is as it works perfectly as it is.

@drc: Thanks a lot! Sure, if by chance you would find two that would be cool! No worries if not!

I looked last night and sorry no match
Thanks a lot! Not a problem, since the current arrangement in my Aristocrat works I will just leave it as it is. I know, those Centralab pots with solid shaft are hard to find.
