Any condition of finish will do as long as she's got her original pickups, bigsby, and master volume. Shoot me a line

thanks darryl,
ive admired that same guitar before. However, i cant justify tacking an extra $1000 for gold hardware. My budget lives in a different neighborhood. A real beauty though!

i am in fact a Dead Boys fan, mellow

I saw that posting on Craigslist. Wrote the fella 3 times but he never wrote back. Same with the post from austin. Theres one in san francisco that is way overpriced for a modified guitar as well. Crossin my fingers though!

Darryl, didn't mean to seem critical. It is in great condition and the melita looks fantastic. However, the impression i came under from reading and researching on this forum is not to pay top dollar unless it's all original. Even then, a bigsby is something i need specifically, so a 300 dollar melita would do me as much good as a slab of top grade filet mignon to a vegetarian

Sonic, are you talking about this post from Austin Craigslist for a '67 SF V?

http://austin.craigslist.org/msg/1401823996.html

I know that Seller and I know that Guitar. I don't know if he still wants to sell it, but I do know that he's not a paypal kind of guy.
However, if you want me to ask him a question for you, I'll drop him a line, etc. PM me.

Oh, and Hello, mellow'. Everything okay up there in the great state of NY?

Regards, Harry aka gilded

Rob,

Jump on it. The condition is good enough, the melita is worth $300-$400, and the case is original.

Oh, I'm not interested in this one. Next on my radar is actually an 8-string.

oops darryl, i misunderstood. I thought you were defending the price on behalf of your friend Rob.

Im not much of a paypal guy either. Im a check in the mail guy with good faith in my fellow man, but i can understand when folks are wary. Id fly to austin for it. I love that town. Im overdue to walk earth that Townes Van Zandt and Steve Earle and Roky Erickson's boots have walked.
