This video is a treat.
Love the speaking accent and the player's facial expressions and the strings do sound fantastic.

I like the interesting string design idea.

What are your thoughts on this new type of bass string? I would like to try them sometime.

Thanks.

Did I see a red Jack Casady Signature in the background?

They solve a problem I didn't know that I had, but if they really are changing the mids and harmonics it would be very interesting to try them with some of the Bisonic variations.

I find the price "more than you were thinking" interesting. Given that FMIC may have a surplus of imports and may have to do some serious discounting I wonder if it is actually a choice between a set of these strings and a blow out sale Squire Jazz Bass :)

They sound like they are made similar to upright acoustic bass strings, except for round wound on the outside. And if you look at those prices, the cost makes sense. (The “budget” set I had to get for my electric upright bass build was $150.)

One thing I notice in the video, is, with the lower tension, the low E string has a far greater tendency to buzz against the frets and should probably be raised more. It was very noticeable in the first playing clip when he was using the low string more.
