Reminds me of the age old saying "If we can't fix it, we can BLEEP it up bad enough to where you have to buy a new one!" Some of that stuff is down right frightening!

That is a Horror Show! However, I do like the third to last mod-job, where the "technician" used everyday, household light switches to toggle between pickups... very resourceful.

I really need to know the " What were you attempting to do !??? " answers. Or..." How much beer was involved before you got out the saw ? "

Those made me sad. I need to go play my beautiful Nightbird to feel better.

The bar code strip looks like the theft protector you find in DVD cases. Can't figure out what it's being used for. I bet those switches are real easy to select during a performance.

The ones slathered with gobs of epoxy reminded my of something I might have done as a teenager. I thought epoxy would fix anything. :stupid:

I think it's sacrilige to cut into a Jazzmaster. He may have been trying to fix intonation problems w/the stock bridge though by moving the whole thing up.

2nd Strat looks about right. Marshall of Deadwood badge and on the lower bout, the switch a mark for every bar
patron he hit over the head with it. That much pain and suffering justifies a couple of extra pick-ups.

Love the bass w/the light switches. Great idea.

I was laughing out loud at some of them! And others took me awhile to figure out what the heck was going on - in a tragic comedy sort of way, I loved all of them!

My buddies early Telecaster (I think it is from 1952). He paid $400 for it about 10 years ago, one of the pick-ups is non-original, but check out the thermometer case!
