No one chimed in on the other thread so I'll try here. Anyone ever heard of a white pickguard on a '50s Guild archtop? I never have, and Hans' book doesn't mention any.

I haven't yet seen a factory installed white pickguard on a 50"s Guild....
Some of the gold finished guitars seem to have rather cool gold colored pickguards, but some appear white at a glance and might have been.

Just to see how one might look, here's a cream colored pickguard I made for my '63 CA-100 while waiting for the original pickup to be rewound.
I switched back to the black it came with....it has the factory DeArmond harness and and pot and decided to leave it that way.
