We had ice falling from the sky for a few minutes along with some fun lightning, but that didn't last long.
Also had some hail here yesterday! Started out about pea size then went up to marble size! No damage but what a racket! Whole lawn was covered in ice.

O'burg, huh? To me, that's the town between Franklin and Sparta that's kind of lost in time as an old mining community. I had a drum student from there. I pass through it on the way to Sparta all the time. I've played many gigs in Sparta, mostly at St, Moritz. They gave up live music after Covid. Another good venue gone. I played there in something like six bands.

I played there a couple times, more next door at Krogh's. I played in a few bands based out of Lake Mohawk, have 2 cousins with houses (same road but miles apart) on the road parallel to the one St Moritz and Krogh's is on. I lived down the hill from the Gulf station... left a couple years before the folk's sold the house and moved to Lafayette. O'burg is 2 square miles cut out of Sparta centered on 517... The Ogdens founded it mining Zinc and Edison lost his shirt pulling iron ore out of the mountain above it.

I go by the Chocolate Goat all the time. I have been trying to sell ad space to those two skinflint sisters for years. They're very tight with their money. They always say, "We'll think about it, please stop back next week." Then, they blow me off. I finally gave up.
