Hey Dudes and Dudettes,

I bought '68 F112 off of eBay. The TRC isn't on the guitar, so unless it's in the case (slim chance!) I'll be needing one.
Anybody got any ideas where I can find one?

Thanks, gilded

I remember Angela Instruments having one on eBay for some time. Of course, Hans would be the key to success if he has an extra.

Congrats on the F112! :D Make sure you post some pics when she arrives.
I thought I saw some TRC's for sale on Ebay recently

Bets of luck...and I am sure Hans will have better ideas for ya as I can't say 100% that the ebay TRC's will fit.

Also...make sure they pull the bottom strap pin before shipping...My F112 arrived with a nice crack on the bottom...also, the case mine came in was not a perfect fit and the guitar was loose inside. Bets of luck!

Hi gilded,

Good suggestions above for the all black, plastic cover. You might have to forage a little deeper to find an appropriate, laminated type.

Guilded,

I can tell you the truss rod covers being sold on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/GUITAR-PARTS-GU...39:1|66:2|65:12|240:1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 are to small. I ordered one (#4) for my 65 F212 and it is to small. While at the Arlington show this weekend one of the dealers had an early 70's F112 and it had the truss rod cover that would fit my F212, but 1200.00 was a little rich for my blood, although it did come with a pretty nice 12 string attached. The truss rod cover that will most likely fit has a white border around the edge. If you do get one and find that it's to big, let me know and I'll trade you.

Good Luck!

Jon, I see now that they are the wrong size. Thanks for the money saving tip. Say, I had a booth at Arlington this weekend. I saw a lot of the LTG guys. Sorry I missed you.

12 stringer, I already did that! I don't know if it will work, but I called them and asked them to do it! I told them to throw the strap button away!!!

gilded,

Sorry for the poor pics, but I dug around the basement and think I've found what you might want (W/B/W/B --- unless white/black or all black is your preference). Basically NOS, still with protective film. There is a slight "ding" on the lowest point (as seen in the second photo), but I doubt anyone will notice it against the nut. Off-topic, but also (re)discovered are some r/w covers....maybe Braz......ehhhh, nevermind.
