So I was checking out the Guild book here, and saw the top comment:
"I purchased a Guild electric solid body guitar in 1963. I no longer have the guitar, but have a picture of it (shown here). I assume it was designed to compete with Fender. I bought this book to find the history of this model. Unfortunately, as comprehensive and thorough as this Guild history book is, there is no mention of my guitar. I am guessing that my guitar was a one-time experimental model, with few produced. Nonetheless, the book is rich in history of the Guild company and should be of interest to music historians and Guild guitar aficionados. "
Can't host the pic here, but you'll see it in that link. Uh, what is that?
