Everybody has an opinion, and mine's worth the price of admission here, but here goes nuthin'.
If it were me, and if I had an instrument that I rarely played, I'd research until I was blue in the face, find out what it's worth, and dump that puppy for that amount......using the proceeds to buy a guitar I'd always wanted. Then if I were going to buy a Guild, I'd find a nice used Westerly.
