They've been discussed a bit in the thread about the naming nomenclature..... I remember us talking about that and someone posted the thing on the Guild site about how guitars are named. It actually made sense. Now if they stick to it is another story. They look really nice to me. In a smaller guitar I like spruce....

Without doing a lot of digging, I'm positive there's something else going on if you're referring to Bigdog409's post.
I suspect it's just inflated "pre-order" pricing and/or maybe even Canadian $ ?
Maybe not even "real" dealers.
Like I see $47.99 bottles of Stresstabs from one Amazon seller that I buy regularly at 2 for $19.00 and free shipping from another one.....

Phew, I was going to say...
all it is is a spruce top and doubtful spruce is that much more expensive than hog, figure it would be other way around :)

anyway, I am not a satin finish fan so...but glad they are cranking out product, things look good for Guild, especially if the other thread re Guitar Center really turns into where GC carries product. Guild at that price level, the 20s, way better options and builds than Taylor/Martins at same price point.

Oh it wouldn't surprise me if spruce was a little more than 'hog, but yeah, not that much.
So figured Bigdog saw something that would have revealed some other reason for the discrepancy besides list price, if examined closely.
Guild's site actually seems to give me loading problems lately as well, so didn't try to go in and look for list prices.

the M40 is not yet on their site under Guild USA, Al. I believe the original post was from twitter...
