This Westerly R.I. guitar comes from my collection , a smoke free home here in Southern California. Sold long ago and recently reacquired it. With upcoming layoff, I'm sorry to say that it must go (to a good home of course). I'll do my best to describe it with full disclosure ...

Body: Model: F412 SB ANT (stands for "Antique" finish (Hans?) 40 + year old guitar with very few blemishes for a guitar of this vintage. One area can be seen on the top (driver side) above sound hole hard to photograph. The back, and sides are all free of scuff marks, scratches, or dings. The cream binding around the top and back has a slightly aged tint to it; pickguard has some barely noticeable scratches on it from typical use. It's date stamp is September 16 1980.

Neck, Fretboard, and Headstock: the fretboard looks almost flawless; as is the back of the neck! The headstock has a Grimwoods Decal on back with light scrapes that can be found around the sides and edges. A great neck, free of dings.

Action and Playability: there is no bridge lift.. the action is low/medium, plus the neck is straight and there is no heel separation.

Frets: no small grooves in the frets, and no buzzing or fret out all the way up the neck.

Hardware: all looks fantastic.

Includes: 12-string acoustic guitar and hardshell case.

Shipping:

If not a local sale (cash and carry) it will be shipped with full insurance coverage. For any inquires concerning calculated "actual" prices to your front door, or need expedited shipping (no international sorry) please feel free to message me.

Thanks for looking, have a great day, and stay safe.

Ok to pay via usps postal money order, cashier's check, or PayPal. But must add 3% if paying with that (PayPal) method.

That sunburst maple is gorgeous IMO!

You say, "If not a local cash and carry sale"-- maybe indicate more precisely where you're located so people near you can come check it out?

Wiley,
Anyone here can contact me privately for address (but not posting addy here in thread) and come over. I submit that I can even meet somewhere in the middle in a 25 mile radius from Ventura County.

Of course! I didn't mean you should post your address, just that "southern CA" encompasses a pretty wide swath of territory! "Ventura County" narrows things down pretty well.

Good luck!

That's a gorgeous guitar! Very tempting to pair it with its 30-year-younger 6-string cousin from New Hartford.

Is that you (absolutely no problem if it is) or has someone gone for an immediate flip?

[Edit - the previous post originally said "on hold"]

"Guild" logo that puts the case in the proper 1980 time period as being the original, and, gold tuners engraved with the world "Guild" in script.

I'm unable to edit text on ebay...a member queried :>>

"What did you mean "almost flawless" ?

I should have said "flawless" .

I tried to describe it as I see it.

Now it's over in about 10 minutes. I might stick around and see if any snipers show up....

Huh. No snipers. No, I wasn't bidding. Apparently the bidder with 1312 transactions bid at least $2K on 3/24, then increased his bid twice before the auction ended but still got it for $2K. That's a pretty good deal. Great burst and apparently great condition. I know some guys love 'em, but I'm still a little wary about such old guitars - just a personal preference for not-so-old models....

If I'm wrong about it selling on eBay, let me know and I will clean up and reopen.

Is it yours?

Since this is a thread in FS the assumption is that the OP is an LTG member and selling the guitar. In this case the OP got no nibbles here and went to eBay.
