Curious observation... I've noticed that most pics of Westerly"s show their tops a darker color . Is that the finish or different woods ?

I think a lot of it is age... the natural yellowing and darkening of the lacquer with age and exposure to UV. Westerly-built guitars are going to be nearly 10 years old, minimum... and many shown on the forum are thirty to more than forty years old (mine range from 18-38 years), and the tops of all but my '76 D-50 (34 years) have darkened to a nice golden yellow (the '74 G-37... which the previous owner kept hung on a wall, is almost pumpkin orange). The D-50 has the lightest top... I think it must have spent most of its life in a case.
