I am home ! Thought mentioned that in the I’m good at breaking stuff post . Not biggie lol

I posted an old tune here I thought called swing . It’s very rough as it was mostly a one take session and a one day write .
My recording was rough then to the mixing was horrible. the song is the old couples life starting out young and happy dancing and love . Middle change is like excepting old age and knowing the best thing in life is right beside so live life to the best . I been thinking of doing it .Lol
It’s all in the picture. ❤

here it is if you dare https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/hoLYJJ7cEq6GzabQ8

LMG NJ at GAD's house!!!

Maybe. Not sure how well that would work with this monster in the house, but with a bigger house I'd certainly consider it!

Well fedx said it’ll be here by end of day Saturday nope more like Sunday .
Anyway it’s going back ! Why because Sweetwater’s 55 check failed .
And I’m anal right !?
well only two things wrong . The single coil neck pickup was crooked . I seem pics but it was already on the way . I thought it could be fixed .
The main issue is the low E side of the back of the neck which has some rough spots about 14 “ worth .
At first I thought it was grit in the finish but after looking st it closer it seems to be chips or something in the wood .
It was along the the edge of a hard wood strip so dull blades maybe ?

either way back it goes and I’m a bit pissed how do you miss this on a 55 point inspection?

Who gets toothbrush duty?

Every day he gets a frozen marrow bone when it's bedtime which helped condition him that bedtime was a good thing (which mostly works). As a result he has the cleanest teeth of any dog we've ever had.

The real problem is that he positively hates being brushed and a Newf needs to be brushed a lot. Couple that with his penchant for sitting in the cool refreshing mud, and he's a very dirty boy with very clean teeth. :)

I can't comment directly on Sweetwater, but any time I read anything like "55 point inspection" I consider it to be complete marketing BS.

Sorry the guitar didn't work out for ya.

I find out tomorrow what’s up . I’m pretty sure they do the inspection . But I can see who people can miss things especially if there over worked .
It’s a damn nice guitar .

Is that a real bone or some sort of dog treat?

The local supermarket (Shop-Rite) sells them. They appear to be femurs cut up with a bandsaw into anywhere from 1-6" pieces and sold as marrow-bones. They look suspiciously like the "Soup Bones" in the same packaging.

There is a feeding regimen for dogs called BARF: Bones And Raw Food that tries to get dogs eating more along the lines of what nature intends rather than kibble in a bag. We tried it years ago and it's great but it's a huge PITA. The one thing we kept from it was the bones, and few things make a dog happier than a raw bone with the marrow intact. We freeze them so that it's more work for him and it keeps him quiet for quite some time.

One of the best things I've seen Sully do was to realize he was being a PITA, go into his crate and get last night's bone, then sit in the living room and gnaw on it. When we first saw him do that we knew there was hope because he had learned how to amuse himself which was a VERY big deal. :)

I always thought they were sold for dogs, but apparently people eat them, too: https://www.debragga.com/marrow-bones/

He doesn't splinter them or anything?

I've been using stuffed Kongs for chew/quiet time. Might have to try the marrow bones.

Raw bones don't splinter nearly as much as cooked bones. Also the marrow bones are so big and thick that they're not really a splinter risk like smaller bones. We freeze them not only because it's more work for him, but also because they're freaking raw bones with marrow and often meat still attached. When they're not frozen they're bloody and kind of disgusting if you're not used to that sort of thing. Plus raw meat can easily get nasty quick and we'll buy 10 at a time if they have them.

We did Kongs stuffed with peanut butter and we'd freeze those, too. Man were we going through tubs and tubs of peanut butter! Peanut butter is a great treat but it's really not something he should be eating so often. We did some harder biscuits and then he figured out that a mighty chomp on the side would have crumbs come out. Then we'd put stuff in the peanut butter and then freeze it. Bones are simpler. :)

What about pig ears? We have a butcher in town that sells them. They are not like the ones in the pet store, these are like no other ones I have seen. I think they are slow-smoked and come out pretty hard. I always pick some up for the dogs I run into, like my sons, or next-door neighbors. Dogs love them and keep them busy "LONG TIME".

Pig ears are good. Keeps Sully busy for about 10 minutes, though.

I always worry about bones splintering too. My wife gets these now. They come in various sizes and the really hard tasty center is refillable.

"Everlasting" they are not, but they take our dogs quite some time to chew the center out.
