It wouldn't surprise me if we had a foot already.

I'm grateful this is light and fluffy so the snow blower will make short work of it. But you're right, first snow is pretty and this will easily last through Christmas so that will be nice.

Antney and GG Jaguar must have consulted with each other on the angle of their camera shot and deck design. I had to look a couple times.
I am hopeful of at least one good snow in Middle Tennessee.

Mehhh no big thing so far, maybe 8 ish inches of light and fluffy. About half what we expected. This guy is quite happy however!

Maybe an inch of snow, then sleet then freezing rain. Lots of folks without power but the sun is out and by this afternoon the ground conditions will not be an impediment to getting places.

well, the news media really took that noreaster story and ran with it.

"biggest storm in years, millions of people will be affected..."

meanwhile, 8 inches of snow, some rain, and dogs playing happily outside. absolute terror once again averted...back at 10.

I remember the North Texas winters as the worst, even worse than growing up off Rte 9 outside of Boston.
They don't salt highways or roads, only sand, and when they get the really bad Oklahoma storm, it is quite brutal for a couple days.

The dudes in big trucks who do not understand that going slower on ice is in fact better....they all end up in the ditch on 121.

I enjoy watching the webcams in New England with all the snowy stuff. But I am allergic to snow shovels...

I’m getting that way. I used to be very active in the snow - skiing, hiking, winter camping every year until 3 winters ago. Now my wife and I are fantasizing about a small condo somewhere warm for the winters. If you’re not doing winter stuff, then it’s really a bit of a drag.
