Ah! I did that to my '58 T100 Slim Jim years ago. I'll look up the Guild nerd that expertly cut the top and helped with the electronics.

Hardly recall, but I think I found complete dual PUs and harnesses. What I did with the single Franz is also a lost memory.
It reads like you're looking to buy another Freshman to mod, not screw with your '58.

I'm sorry to hear. The narrow string spacing chased mine off, but I'd like that '59 long scale Freshman back if I could snap my fingers. Prices are a full thou more than when I bought mine.

I'm waiting now over a year for my Martin Custom Shop 00 deep bod to be delivered. Think I'll thin the herd if it fulfills my expectations.

The only electric I've found with roomy spacing is the Rickenbacker 600 series, but I managed to add a couple mm wider nut to my Gretsch LP copy, making it usable.
