This is a VERY cool and somewhat rare old Guild silk banner which features a S-300 model (I think?). It's not plastic like the newer banners. I'm guessing it's from the 1970's because the music shop that it came from closed in 1979. It's in good condition for it's age and would look attractive in a music room or studio. It's been hanging in mine for the past 30 years and we're moving so it's time to find a new wall to hang on! I've sold a few old guitar banners on eBay (i.e. Gibson, Magnatone, Premier etc) and I know that these get a lot of interest from collectors and enthusiasts around the country and sell for $250-$500. As a gesture to fellow Forum members, I've decided to list this one here at a reasonable price point and, if there's no interest here, to put it up on eBay where the pool of watchers is significantly higher. Frankly, I've never seen another one of these so I know it's a pretty rare banner.

I'll let it go for $185 with a money order only and include shipping in the USA.

Yea I get that! It's been on my wall for decades and I get lots of great comments about it so I'm somewhat ambivalent about letting it go. Guess I figured someone here would like to have it? So far not. Give it another week or so and then I'll let it rip on the Bay!

For decades, I had several of these uber cool older 1960's era music shop banners hanging on my wall and frankly sold them for 2-4 times the price that I'm willing to sell this 1970's era Guild banner here to Forum members. Whoever steps up to buy the Guild banner will have something truly unique, cool and historical. Timing is everything! That said, here's what a few of those cool looking music banners hanging on my wall for decades looked like:

I have the green "Get More Guitar" banner from the New Hartford factory. I will hang it up in the family room once I finish renovating. ;-(

You might do better if you stop using the phrase "steps up" so much. If it does not sell here, you can sell it elsewhere.

It is a cool banner for sure. Just a suggestion but I were selling this I would list it on the other sites such as Ebay or Reverb simultaneously with your listing here on the forum. That way you don't limit yourself to the smaller pool of perspective buyers in just one location as you mentioned. Other members here on the forum do the same with their guitars and items and it works out pretty good for them from what I have seen. Best of luck with your listing and I hope you sell it.
