what model preamp is that illustration? I installed an Ellipse Matrix Blend system in my D30 and really love the sound. if it wasn't so expensive I'd probably buy another one today for my D25....until there are a few more denari in the bank I'll have to content myself with the mini-condenser mic already in my slide hog.

I widh I knew. Acoustelectrics and Fishmans are all new to me. I just bought my first acoustelectric, so I'm just starting to find out. I'm almost 60, and I've always thought of single-coils and bigsbys as high tech.

ditto here, HF.....september '48 is my model year...though I have always been a techie freak. one of my earliest memories is of dismantling a beautiful clock my father had received as an award... I was unable to put it back together again (probably because one of the tools I used during disassembly was a hammer which is usually contra-indicated for precision work). My dad was less than thrilled.

One of my earliest memories is of taking the two batteries out of a flashlight and not being able to get it back together. I was about thirty-five.
