Headstock shape?

I am pretty sure I have seen one very similar where the headstock had sharper points.
On this one it looks like they could have been rounded to smooth out scars.

And is this how they normally did the serial number?

Pretty good beinhard! You're the first winner!

Photos should explain it all:

OK, there are a few other correct answers. Anyone?

I am probably wrong, but the long scratch behind the tremolo looks as if it is under the finish.

OK one last attempt from me, I don't see any signs of any of the dark part of the burst. Especially on the back of the headstock and lower portion of the neck. Seems some of that would still be visible if it were just faded. By the way it's only 2 digits from mine at 41053.
Good luck to the rest of you. I'm out of ideas.

Well since I started this thread I guess I should chime in.

1) The base of the guitar no longer shows any sign of the two rubber feet that are normally mounted on the peaks on either side of the "shark bite" bottom.

2) The small chrome plated washers that are normally mounted under the rim of the Hagstrum bridge inserts mounted into the body are missing.

3) The "Patent applied for" sticker has been removed from the stand cavity.

These items would have been removed in the refinshing process.

Ooooh, a newbie (beinhard) comes up with the goods. Excellent. I don't think I would've picked up on that business about the points on the headstock. Very good!

Yes, I won!!!

I'll ask my dog to give them a relic treatment and then on eBay one piece at a time as "Ultra rare official relic LTG Guild S100 refinish contest prize cards".
I will be rich! :D

NOT! I actually liked the idea of sharing them.
Anybody interested in getting one of those cards with a friendly greeting from Norway?
In exchange for a nice card with a picture of a guitar, or of the place you live, or anything else you think is cool, funny or whatever?
Just PM me.
