I stumbled across this youtube compilation vid of The Voice and was surprised to see this vintage Guild. Usually contestants on these talent shows invariably play newer guitars. Best views start at 0:58.
I'm not quite certain what it is. The headstock inlay design makes me guess it's a 1957, while the sunburst finish, pickup configuration, and Venetian cutaway makes me think it's an X-175. It looks mostly stock, but from what I can tell, it appears to have changed tuners. The bridge may not be stock because I can't tell if there are dot inlays on each side or if they're reflections from the lights. Still a beauty, and despite the resemblance to the other "G" company logo, I've always really liked this script logo design in combination with the Chesterfield. It sounds great too!
Any other input from you research and identification pros out there? -- You know who you are! :C)
