I do have admit right off the bat that this is the first time a K&K pickup sounded worth a hoot to me .
So tell me I'm nuts or is there more we don't know ?

Well. that little speaker cabinet is no slouch:

8 ohm
250 watt handling power
10 lbs
9″x9″x9″
4 Eminence alpha 3 speakers with special fluid-cooled, high-yield neodymium tweeter

It's also $700. That nice little amp is $900 ( All MSRP , of course ).

As far as the K&K pickups go, I think that Guild Contemporary I have, which passed through you hands, sound pretty good, when I plug it into a small amp I have that's for accoustic guitars an AG-15 from UltraSound, like this one:

I don't think EITHER cabinet is going to give you oodles of booming bass, as the speakers are too small, and you can sort of hear that in the demo you posted, but, either one works well with the K&K pickup, I think.

I think it sounded right - of course guitar must have been ok, too.
Pity, that he did not show how far the recording mic was - and what kind of room.

And rarely have I seen anybody rave that much about a carrying pouch . . .

I fed the speaker T-S-parameters into BassBox 6 Pro and checked how they perform in a cube 9x9x9 - vent size was fair estimate, but it is close enough in any case.

Upper trace shows the NOMINAL curve at 120w - it is just assumption, that the speaker can handle any power you choose to feed.

The lower curve shows the actual limits - the horizontal line at 113dB is where smoke leaves premises - the other line shows how much air the cone can move within it's limits before ripping off. The hump in that line shows the extra level that is there because of the reflex port.

Conclusion - as long you play it with max 10W you can expect full sound - higher volume gets thinner. So good for small rooms and modest levels.
