Hey guys and gals.

I've got a 2010 Guild F-50R that has the D-TAR Lock 'n Load pickup system installed.

I was trying to replace the batteries last night when I opened the battery compartment and saw that the innermost AA battery had gotten stuck!
I've tried to get it out, but it seems that the battery is firmly stuck in there!

Anything I can try to get it out? Does anyone know if there is there an access panel inside the guitar that will allow me to push the battery out?

I'm trying to avoid taking the entire module out...

You could go to your automotive supply store, or garage and see if they have one of those strong magnets on a wand..uses to retrieve parts, or try using a small neodyminium magnet ....Steffan

Jazzman, I distinctly remember this question was asked like maybe a year and a half ago, I can't remember the answer for sure, but I'm thinking all it needed was for the holder to warm up a little, that it was too tight when it was too cold? Anyway, just to let you know a search might help you find that thread.

I always have trouble getting my batteries out, usually have to bang the bottom to get 'em out. I can see how easy it would be to get one really stuck inside.

I have taken mine out, and I don't recall that you can poke it out from the other side, but my memory is fuzzy (on a lot of things it turns out).

I'm hoping someone comes up with a good answer. DTAR has a forum you might want to post this question on.

This was the thread I remember (and I participated in). This one was with rechargeable batteries... viewtopic.php?t=19561
