Hey all,
I got home day before yesterday, my band's been on its first US tour, we just spent a month in the american southwest (about twenty shows) and it was a lot of fun.
I finally met Guild forum member Richard ("oilcandelay") in California, Richard and his lovely wife invited the whole band to stay at their place, bought us lunch, made sure we wouldn't leave without having had a demonstration of American hospitality.
Aside from being a very nice guy, Richard also has a very tasteful guitar and amp collection, and what probably amounts to the most complete collection of Tel-Ray oilcandelays in the world.
Also, I finally had a chance to play my guitar's blonde twin : Richard's natural finished 1962 X175. His guitar is in better shape than mine cosmetically, and obviously a different color, but apart from that it was very impressive how both guitars were identical : neck and body shape, neck set, tone, feel, and weight were exactly the same. In other words, I need another '62 some day!!!!
