what's with the set of unused holes on your red S-100

You mean the red one in the picture of four? That's danerectal's, and someone had a different tailpiece on it at some point.

I've got a natural finish T-60 and I love it. You can do all kinds of cool tricks with the pickups and it's solid as a rock. And if things get ugly and physical in some dive during a gig, you can actually wield this axe like an axe. I will keep mine forever.

My first T-60 was an '82 natural finish, and I just sold it not long ago. Also have a pair of tobacco sunburst '83 T-60s, both of which I sold, and now the '79 honeyburst. The biggest thing, for me, in making the trade is that a T-60 is more easily and cheaply replaced within my herd than finding another vintage S-100 for less than half of what they seem to be going for these days.

Because I favor the 24.75-inch scale, that's why I'll keep hanging on to my T-25. Does almost everything the T-60 could do, and it feels more comfortable to me to play.
